Bone metastases - Purely osteolytic lesions → primary thyroid, renal, uterine, head and neck, and gastrointestinal sources - Metastases arising from thyroid and renal primaries → may produce bone expansion - Mixed osteolytic/osteosclerotic lesions → lung, breast, cervix, ovarian, and testicular malignancies
